United Way and Organized Labour have had a long history of working together to build strong and healthy communities. Union members and their families represent a broad spectrum of community members as donors, volunteers and users of the services and programs supported by United Way. In 1988 the partnership between United Way Centraide and the Canadian Labour Congress was signed to ensure that both movements work collectively for the common good.
Upcoming events include:
October 22nd Show Your Local Love Day: join UWHH and supported agencies for a variety of activities to give back to the community.
November 17th Sopinka Legal Luncheon: if you have lawyers that work with your members and think they may be interested please share!
And if you're feeling the financial stress of the pandemic, this Financial Relief Navigator might be able to help.
