The duties of this committee shall be to inform and educate Council on all matters pertaining to unemployment, legislative matters of interest that may come before the Federal, Provincial, Regional and Municipal governments and to promote and mobilize support for the political education programmes of the Canadian Labour Congress, Ontario Federation of Labour and Council, and any other matters referred to it by Council.
This Committee shall also make any recommendations to Council as it deems necessary to carry out the objective outlined above, including any organizing or mobilization of the affiliates and/or the community.
All locals affiliated to Council shall be asked to send one (1) delegate to this committee with voice but no vote.
